Mission Statement
River Hospital Foundation, an organization chartered under Section 402 of the
not-for profit corporation law of New York State, seeks charitable gifts from
individuals, corporations and foundations dedicated to supporting the health
care mission of River Hospital.
We will seek donations of charitable gifts and provide responsible direction
concerning methods of giving and types of gifts which are in the best interest of
the donor, River Hospital and River Community Clinic.
We will develop an awareness and understanding of the Foundation's programs
and services and provide donors and potential donors with information about
gift opportunities.
River Hospital Foundation is dedicated to serving the needs of River Hospital
and River Community Clinic. We will work closely with the River Hospital Board
of Directors to provide the highest quality, comprehensive Health Care to the
St. Lawrence River communities.

In the spring of 2003, board members from River Hospital and the “Concerned Citizens”
group came together to form a new entity: the River Hospital Foundation. Under the
direction of a Board of Directors, River Hospital Foundation ensures that community
contributions are used locally to enhance the health of residents of the Thousand
Islands region. The Foundation manages donated assets, raises additional funds and
assists in the development of long-range plans and policies.
The Board of Directors is an active group who, not only meets monthly to review plans
for fundraising and to oversee the operations and money management of the
organization, but its members also volunteer much time to the many different events
and activities that help River Hospital flourish.
