River Hospital Receives Funds from the Boldt Castle Gala Committee
The Boldt Castle Gala committee met recently to present River Hospital Foundation with $62,000 that was
raised from this year’s event, which has been contributed in Tony Malara’s memory. The Gala has come to be
a wonderful, formal affair reminiscent of days-gone-by that completes the summer season of fundraising events
held to support River Hospital in Alexandria Bay. The event has been such a great success due to the
cooperation and professionalism of the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority members and staff, the generous
support of Ron & Corinne Thomson of Uncle Sam Boat Tours, the specialized talents of the Cavallario’s
Steakhouse owners and staff, and the hard work and dedication of volunteers, Jeanne Snow, Joe & Robin
Russell, Brent Sweet, Diane Recupero, and Tony Malara.
