Group Raises $1,300 for River Hospital
Residents from Meadow Lane Park, Rte. 12, Alexandria Bay, joined together earlier this month to sell items at a
combined “yard sale” and contributed their total earnings of $1,300 to River Hospital.
This group decided this summer that they would revive an old tradition of combining their used and new goods
together for one big sale and wanted to contribute the funds raised to River Hospital, which “we are thankful
(River Hospital) is close by and all use over the summer months” commented organizer, Christa Simons. “We
would like to challenge other parks or organizations to do the same. It feels great to be able to donate this
amount of money to River Hospital, which we couldn’t do on our own. We were all thrilled to be a part of this
unified contribution and plan to make this an annual event”.
