Redwood Bank Supports River Hospital’s Scholarship Program
In recognition of River Hospital’s commitment to providing quality healthcare in the 1000 Islands region,
Redwood Bank has donated $1,000 toward the “Miracle on the River” Scholarship Program.

they have created this scholarship plan, not only to better serve its employees, but also to enhance their

“The fundraising efforts for the scholarship program are going very well. Businesses as well as individuals are
responding with enthusiastic comments and contributions. We are pleased that businesses such as Redwood
Bank, Woodley-Dee Mechanical Contractors, Clayton Big M, Cummings Funeral Home, Chalk’s Marina, and
Gilco, to name a few, have come forward in support of this mission”, said Jacqualine Costello, River Hospital
Foundation’s Executive Director.
In addition to the contributors, Cavallario’s Steakhouse owners, Chuck Penn and Michael John Cavallario, have
offered to host a fundraising dinner on Thursday, May 25th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Dinner choices
include Chicken Breast with a Portabella Mushroom Sauce and Rice Pilaf or Homemade Lasagna with Meat
sauce. Meals will include tossed salad, Italian bread, a non-alcoholic beverage of choice and dessert. Children’
s selections of Spaghetti or a half-portion of Lasagna are also available. Dinner prices are $15 for adults and
$5 for children. Tickets are being sold in advance at the Alexandria Bay Big M, Cavallario’s Steakhouse, and
the Redwood Bank in Alexandria Bay.
The “Miracle on the River” Scholarship Program was created in partnership between River Hospital Foundation
and River Hospital to raise funds and coordinate scholarship opportunities for individuals interested in getting
into the medical field of study, or upgrading their current level of education in exchange for a work commitment
